Welcome!
Seven years ago when I (Kathy Gottberg) first came up with the idea for SMART Living 365 I was determined to write about topics that I felt passionate and excited to share. For the previous three years I had blogged at another site writing about the environment and sustainability movement–and while I learned an incredible amount of vital information and offered a valuable service to the members of my community and myself–it became exceedingly technical and dry. I also came to the conclusion that the only way people would ever really change would be to have a transformation in their hearts and minds. That’s when I decided to come up with a site where I could write about that kind of change–and share ideas and information on the cutting edge of transformation.
And although most blogging experts suggest you pick one topic to write about and focus on that, been-there, done-that. So my creation of SMART was to find a topic BIG enough to hold everything. And so, SMART is an acronym standing for: Sustainable/Meaningful/Aware/Responsible/Thankful. My intention is that SMART Living 365.com be a site that shares current ideas and information about how to live a happy, peaceful and meaningful life every day of the year in ways that are both down-to-earth and life transforming.
Are you ready to live SMART too? If yes, be sure and sign up for our regular posts, comment frequently, and feel free to share your SMART tip as well.
SMART – brilliant and guiding. Now…to unclutter and reduce the weight on my shoulders. Where to begin?
Hi Claire…thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! And there’s a quote…I’m not sure who said it…that answers your question. It goes, “Start wherever you are with what’s right in front of you!” No need to rush…that wouldn’t be SMART! –Kathy
I found your site by following the link left by your husband on The Minimalists. Thanks so much for sharing your work, I am enjoying the content but also your writing style. The piece on drama queen and the piece on bouncing back particularly resonated with me.
Thank you
