I wish I knew someone like Grace Martin, the main character in my novel Finding Grace—A Transformational Journey. In some ways maybe I do, because Grace is the combination of several women I have met in my life that I admire, respect and love. Does she have all the answers—no. Does she always do the right or best thing—not hardly. But Grace continues to keep going in spite of what she comes up against. She does it by questioning and learning from every experience she faces, and strives to be authentically true to herself. Like her, I consider my life to be a quest to discover my true nature, and seek to follow her example. Not only is that a big reason why I wrote this novel, but more importantly, it is exactly the kind of story that I like to read myself. For that reason, I would like to offer one of you a free print copy of my book to see if you too are interested in finding Grace.
A month ago another blogger friend of mine named Mary Buchan sent me an email suggesting that several of us authors get together and do a book blog-hop offering a free copy of our books. What’s a blog hop? Very simply, a blog hop is a way for bloggers to link to each other so that we can share our page and information with each other. (Some hops are open to bloggers–this one is limited to a select group of authors.) Not only do we get to introduce new readers to our blog and our books, but we also connect to some other great blogs and authors at the same time. What’s in it for you, our readers? How about the opportunity to win a free book from every single one of us?
So here is an opportunity to fill up your summer reading list with a diverse bunch of books. Author Mary Buchan, Midlifestyle RNventor is hosting this book blog hop during her virtual book launch of Over iT. Each of the thirteen authors involved will make you think, cry, laugh out loud or all three. And each author will give you a chance to win his or her book in a giveaway that ends July 23, 2014. Follow the links below and make sure you enter all for a chance to win!!”
Here on SMART Living 365 I will be giving away one free print copy of Finding Grace—A Transformational Journey. The winner will be chosen at random. Your information is confidential and used for this giveaway only. Giveaway ends on July 23rd at 11:59 pm. The winner who does not respond within 2 days of our announcement via email will be dismissed in favor of another winner. Open to residences within the USA and Canada.
If you want to read more about Finding Grace to make sure it is something you would enjoy reading, then please follow this link to Amazon and read both the blurb and the comments. Then sign up for the free contest by leaving a comment below and you just might be a winner. When you are done with that please visit the other sites on the blog hop below and you just might win enough books to keep you busy for the rest of the summer. How SMART is that?

Hi Mary! Thank you so much for your praise. It is very much appreciated. And yes, I wrote Grace as exactly the kind of person I would also like to meet. I think we all could use as much Grace in our life as we can get.
Thank YOU for hosting the hop! ~Kathy

Hi Lisa! I would love for you to read my book. I’ve got your name and will let you know who gets picked. I’m not sure that the blog hop coordinator Mary Buchan is accepting any more books in the hop right now but you are more than welcome to contact her (the link is in the post). ~Kathy
What a fun way to get more buzz around a great book, Kathy! Much success getting more folks aware of Finding Grace, a book I thoroughly enjoyed reading!
Hi Nancy! Yes it is a fun way to get the word out AND to connect with other great authors. And hopefully a chance for some of you to win free books! Thanks for your support and your review on Amazon for Finding Grace is was–AND IS–very much appreciated. ~Kathy
I tried to join your blog hop and messed up. I added my book page twice by mistake. The one I wanted was #17. Can you help please? Also, I would like to giveaway one of my books as well. Is it too late to join in?
Thank you for your help?
Hi Carol! Sorry for the confusion. I guess the post isn’t clear about that so I will make the correction. The hop is organized by Mary Buchan and you will have to contact her (the link is in the post) to see if you can add your book as well. I believe it was just for the authors she’s invited but she might make an exception. ~Kathy
OOh ! I’d like to read about Grace! I love a strong female character! I also like reading books by people that have come to be my friends. so I will be happ to read it, even if I don’t win! xo

Kathy, I have one question – Do I need to update my blog with the information which is posted at all these blogs which are participating? Not clear whether I can be the part of the group, though I have entered my book too. could you please clarify?
Hi Balroop! Thank you for your interest in the blog hope and my book Finding Grace. You do not need to supply the link to your blog to be entered to the contest….the hop is actually for those of us who were invited to be a part of it. I’m not sure if they will allow your link to stay because I’m not really managing it. But I do recommend that you check out the other sites to see if those books will appeal to you and you can enter your name to win those books as well. I’m honored that you would think you’ll like to read my book. I’ll let everyone know on the 23rd who is the winner. ~Kathy
Hi Kathy,
I found this idea very interesting and rewarding! I am in! I have checked your book at Amazon and I think I would like to read it.
Thanks for introducing blog hopping, seen it for the first time.
Cannot participate yet, but I will one day soon…
but I am sending you many good wishes & I hope you
sell MANY copies, Kathy! xx
Hi Kim! Definitely work on your own book. You have a powerful story to tell that many people should read. And thank you for the good wishes! I sincerely hope that people enjoy Grace’s story as much as I have. ~Kathy
I love the idea of finding grace and the book title absolutely draws me in.
Thanks Carol! I think most people who read my blog and who read YOUR blog would enjoy the story. And I’m looking forward to reading yours! ~Kathy
Well, maybe next year I’ll have my book finished and get to participate in the blog hop. 😉
But I do have to put in a plug for your book, Finding Grace. I read it a little over a year ago and absolutely enjoyed it! You’ve got two amazing characters, and bring up some good points about spirituality, through a medium that is MUCH more interesting than the standard non-fiction books on the topic.
Hi Bethany! YES for getting your own book done! It does take time and effort but I don’t doubt that you can do it.
And thank you so much for sharing that you enjoyed Finding Grace with everyone else. As you mention, Grace’s journey is one of spiritual growth but it isn’t a “traditional Christian journey” by any means. When writing it I really wanted to share the idea that there are many, many ways to connect with our spirit and that each of us has to discover what speaks to us regardless of what others think and believe. I’m glad you enjoyed it and that it made you think–there’s no greater praise to me. Thank you! ~Kathy
